Behind a balanced attack, Hampshire (1-1) earned its first win of the year beating Stillman Valley 53-43 in the Strombom Tournament at Sycamore.

Will Bush led the Whip-Purs' offense with 15 points. Justin Bieber (10 points), Mike Kozenczak (9 points) and Shyler Ralphs (9 points) also contributed.

Harlem 84, Burlington Central 58: Burlington Central (0-2) kept things close through the first half trailing just 40-39, but after being outscored 27-7 in the third quarter, the Rockets were unable to battle back in the Strombom Tournament at Sycamore. Matt McCurdy led the Rocket offense with 16 points while Ray Hunnicutt added 10 points.

Cary-Grove 56, Belvidere 36: Pete Pellizzari helped lead the Trojans to victory posting a team high 13 points over Belvidere at the Hoops for Healing Tournament held at Belvidere. Matt Nelson (12 points) and Chad McCarron (11 points) both contributed. Matt Jones was also added 8 points for C-G.

Elgin Academy 50, Mooseheart 48: After trailing through the first half the Hilltoppers (1-2) pulled ahead in the second half and defeated Mooseheart at the Westminster Christian Thanksgiving Classic. Jovan McDonald led EA scoring 18 points and sinking five 3-point shots. Paul Leonardis also had 11 points for the Hilltoppers.

Jacobs 67, Quincy 55: The Golden Eagles (1-1) dumped tournament host Quincy behind an 18-point game from senior Conrad Krutwig. Sean Meyer added 13 points for Jacobs.
