Behind big game efforts from Amy Cavanaugh (15 digs, 7 kills, 2 assists), Erica Liss (19 assists, 7 digs, 2 aces), Lauren Pigatto (15 digs, 6 kills, 2 aces), Klaudia Velazquez (10 digs, 2 aces) and Stacie Weinert (11 digs, 5 kills), Jacobs won a Fox Valley Conference Valley Division girls volleyball match over Woodstock Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles won by scores of 25-21 and 25-22 to improve to 7-11 overall and 2-1 in FVC Valley play.
St. Charles North d. Streamwood: Despite solid efforts from Betsy Holman (5 kills, 2 blocks) and Adriana Salgado (12 assists), Streamwood (5-13, 2-3) dropped this Upstate Eight Conference meeting in two games by scores of 26-24 and 25-16.
Dundee-Crown d. McHenry: After dropping the opener 25-18, Dundee-Crown (12-5, 2-1) battled back to defeat McHenry by scores of 25-20 and 25-21 in Fox Valley Conference Valley Division action. Stephanie Thorson (7 kills), Kelci Cook (5 kills) and Katie Cutinello (17 assists) led the Charger attack.
Neuqua Valley d. Bartlett: After dropping the opener 25-20, Bartlett fell 25-15 to Neuqua Valley, losing this Upstate Eight Conference meeting. The Hawks (15-5-1, 4-2) were led by Carly Sahagian (7 kills, 4 aces, 7 digs, block), Emily Hayes (4 kills, block, 2 digs) and Alyssa Cazzato (14 assists).
Huntley d. Crystal Lake Central: Losing Game 1 by a score of 25-21, Huntley (12-6, 3-0) picked up the pace to remain unbeaten in Fox Valley Conference Fox Division play after coming from behind to win 25-23, 25-21. AllysonStellmach (11 kills), Amanda Carroll (22 assists, 3 aces), Amy Dion (17 digs) and Ashley Smith (7 kills) combined efforts led the Red Raider attack.
