• John A. Romb, 38, 5212 Leeside, McHenry, was arrested around 5 p.m. July 21 and charged with felony retail theft after a security agent for Jewel-Osco, 1350 S. Route 12, saw him take 61 bottles of beer and leave without paying, police said. Total value was estimated at $109. A court date was not available.
Grayslake
• Derek J. Mlaker, 19, 2025 W. Alvina Ave., Milwaukee, Wis., was arrested July 26 and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor after a traffic stop at Rollins and Sheldon roads, police said. His Waukegan court date was set for Aug. 17.
Gurnee
• Burglars stole a radar detector between 7 p.m. July 28 and 2 a.m. July 29 out of an unlocked 1994 Toyota Camry parked on the 3500 block of Grandmore Avenue, police said. Value was estimated at $400.
• Thieves stole $115 around 2 p.m. July 29 out of a wallet in a men's locker at the Centre Club, 1405 N. Hunt Club Road, police said.
• Thieves stole a man's wallet July 29 after he left it at the Amoco gas station, 4885 Route 132, police said. Someone used a credit card in the wallet, reports added. Value was estimated at $150.
Ingleside
• Thieves stole a commercial push mower on an unknown date, but reported July 23, out of the backyard at a home on the 34900 block of Decorah Avenue, the Lake County sheriff's office said. A value estimate was not available.
Lake Villa
• Vandals smashed the rear window around 6 p.m. July 22 on a 1992 Honda parked at a home on the 24900 block of Ravine Drive, the Lake County sheriff's office said. Damage was estimated at $300.
Lake Zurich
• Burglars smashed a passenger's-side window and stole two purses around 9 p.m. July 26 out of a vehicle parked on the 800 block of North Old Rand Road, police said. A value estimate was not available.
• Vandals spray painted graffiti around 5 p.m. July 27 on the rear exterior wall at Wal-Mart, 320 S. Rand Road, police said. A damage estimate was not available.
Mundelein
• Evan Krauss, 17, 2320 Fieldcrest, Mundelein, Joseph Strandberg, 17, 140 S. Pershing Ave., Mundelein, Justin Sebring, 17, 193 N. California, Mundelein, and Jack Grebnor, 17, 224 Dunton Court, Mundelein, were arrested July 23 and charged with burglary to motor vehicle after officers discovered they had been entering unlocked vehicles and stealing MP3 players, DVDs, and loose change, and taking alcohol out of open garages, police said. Court dates were not available.

• Jessica M. Quiram, 21, 38649 Gratton, Lake Villa, was arrested around 1:55 a.m. July 19 and charged with littering after an officer saw her toss a plastic bottle out of a car at Fairfield and Nippersink roads, police said. Her Round Lake Beach court date was set for Aug. 26.

• Burglars stole loose change July 17 out of two unlocked vehicles parked on the 2000 block of Masters, police said. Value was estimated at $10.
• Vandals scratched the driver's side and slashed the two rear tires overnight July 18-19 on a 2007 Chevrolet Impala parked at a home on the 1300 block of Juneway Terrace, police said. A damage estimate was not available.
• Larry A. Atkinson, 40, 1415 Cedar Lake Road, Apt. 102, Round Lake Beach, was arrested around 7:55 p.m. July 23 at his home and charged with disorderly conduct after he picked up a knife and told a witness he was going to cut his neighbor's head off, police said. A court date was not available.
Vernon Hills
• Frederick J. Straza, 26, 23577 N. Cottage, Lake Zurich, was arrested July 23 and charged with possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at Lakeview Parkway and Executive Drive, police said. His Mundelein court date was set for Sept. 8.
• Brandon C. Koenig, 25, 235 Harvest Court, Vernon Hills, was arrested July 23 at his home and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer found him with a marijuana pipe, police said. His Waukegan court date was set for Aug. 12.
• Michael J. Dietz, 19, 1971 Red Fox Lane, Libertyville, was arrested July 24 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at Huntington Drive and Butterfield Road, police said. His Mundelein court date was set for Sept. 8.
• A Vernon Hills juvenile was arrested July 25 and charged with possession of marijuana after an officer found him with the drug at Aspen and Webster, police said. His Mundelein court date was set for Sept. 8. The charges were later dropped.
Wauconda
• Jason R. Weseman, 27, 105 S. Main Street, Apt. 4, Wauconda, was arrested July 24 at his apartment and charged with aggravated battery, domestic battery, and unlawful interference with reporting a domestic battery, police said. A court date was not available.
• Agustin Morales, 17, 1020 Revere Lane, Island Lake, was arrested July 26 at Liberty Street and Bangs and charged with minor consumption of alcohol, police said. His Waukegan court date was set for Aug. 25.
