Local author to visit with historical society

Crystal Lake author Bob Frenz will be at the McHenry County Historical Society Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 13.

Frenz will be signing copies of his book, "Historic Country Schools of McHenry County, Illinois." The books, which document more than 140 one- and two-room schools of this county, arrived and will be ready for purchase and/or pickup for those who already purchased one. Books are available for $34.95 and come with a dust jacket. The books can be purchased by check or cash.

Frenz plans to be on hand inside the museum to autograph copies during the historical society's annual Heritage Fair. Those who cannot be in attendance of July 13, can pick up books at the museum office from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The museum is at 6422 Main St. , Union.
