Huntley parks is recruiting players

The Huntley Park District is recruiting players age 50 and older for its sixth season of 12-inch softball.

Everyone is responsible for their own glove, non-metal spikes and bat. Everyone gets to play. Game play is from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Mondays and Wednesday, May to November.

Cost is $30 for Huntley Park District residents and $45 for non-residents. Registration is required.

Art exhibit at MCC through April

"Share Your Spirit in Art 7," paintings by artist and instructor Diane Wlezien and her McHenry County College Continuing Education students, will be on exhibit April 1-30 in the Community Room at the Woodstock Opera House.

The public is invited to attend the artist's opening reception from 3 to 5 p.m. on April 5.

Beginning and Intermediate adult students' watercolor paintings will be on display. The exhibit can be viewed during regular business hours as well as during Woodstock Opera House performances at 121 Van Buren St., on the historic Woodstock Square.
