Model T Ford Club of America: The Model T Ford Club of America will host the Western National Hillbilly Tour from 4 to 8 p.m. today and Saturday at the Hawthorn Park Hotel, in Springfield, Ill. Waukegan Branch of AAUE: The September general meeting and brunch of the Waukegan Branch of American Association of University Women will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at College of Lake County, Lakeshore Campus, 111. Luggage for Freedom: A collection for the Chicago North Shore Section of the National Council of Jewish Women's "Luggage for Freedom" project will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, in the Jewel parking lot, 1600 Deerfield Road, Highland Park. Gently used towels, sheets, blanket, backpacks, children's books and new toiletries and stuffed animals will be collected. No luggage at this site. The Luggage for Freedom project provides gently used luggage packed with towels, sheets, blankets and new toiletries to women leaving local domestic violence shelters. Fox Valley Rocketeers: The Fox Valley Rocketeers, a club of model rocketry enthusiasts, will hold its September rocket launch from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at Raintree Park in Woodstock. Rocket fliers are welcome to come and fly their low power rockets. Park in the west entrance, weather and field permitting. Go Veggie! Northwest: Go Veggie! Northwest will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Highway, Barrington. Gardeners of Central Lake County: Herbal Harvest by Cathy Nardo will be the program hosted by the Gardeners of Central Lake County at 7:30 p.m. Monday, at the Evangelical Free Church, 431 W. American Association of University Women: American Association of University Women Barrington Area Branch will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Barrington Area Library. Coterie of Barrington Game Day Event: Coterire of Barrington will hold a Game Day Event at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the Inverness Golf Club. The day begins with coffee and sweet rolls. Long Grove-Kildeer Garden Club: The Long Grove-Kildeer Garden Club will tour the Lurie Gardens at Millennium Park on Monday; and Haeger Pottery on Oct. 8. Bunco Night to support local charity: The Libertyville Junior Woman's Club will hold a Bunco Night Tuesday in the Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Island Lake Seniors: The monthly meeting of the Island Lake Seniors will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Island Lake Village Hall, 3720 Greenleaf. Patriot Aquatic Club: Tryouts for the Patriot Aquatic Club will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Stevenson High School's pool. Registration for returning swimmers will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19, in the glass commons at Stevenson High School.

The Snowseekers Ski Club: Skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities are invited to attend the Snowseekers Ski Club meeting held at 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month, September through April, at the First Presbyterian Church, Maple and Douglas avenues in Libertyville. The club offers families, couples and singles trips to Midwestern and Western ski slopes and an annual "Learn to Ski" weekend, in addition to a variety of non-skiing social activities. New members meeting and high tea: The Women's Club of Inverness will begin its 2007-08 years with a special new members meeting and high tea at 9 a.m. Thursday, at the Inverness Golf Club. Business is followed by guest artist demonstrator, David R. Becker of Ingleside, who will demonstrate techniques using light and color. Guests are welcome. Computer-Assisted Genealogy Group: The Computer-Assisted Genealogy Group of Northern Illinois will meet at 10:30 a.m. Sept 15, in the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Bicycle Club of Lake County: The Bicycle Club of Lake County will sponsor a Singles Ride at 9 a.m. Sept. 22 and Oct. 27 at Old School Forest Preserve, St. Mary's Road, north of Route 60 and about 1/2 mile south of Route 176, Libertyville. The ride is for singles of all ages interested in cycling. It is an easy 12-15-mile trail ride at a conversational pace of 12 mph, no one will be left behind. Meet at the trail parking lot, first lot on the left side on the one way loop road. Helmets are required. Socializing after the ride.
