Angel Hair Pasta and Vodka Sauce
1/4 pound bacon, chopped2 cups chopped onions2 garlic cloves, minced or to taste1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoesRed pepper flakes to taste, optional1 cup vodka1 cup heavy cream1-1 1/2 cups frozen peas1 pound angel hair pasta, cookedParmesan, to taste, for garnishBasil, to taste, for garnishIn a large fry pan, cook bacon until crisp. Add onions and garlic and sauté until onions are tender. Add tomatoes and red pepper flakes if desired; heat through. Add vodka and cook sauce about 5 minutes.Reduce heat, add heavy cream and peas and cook until slightly thickened. Toss in angel hair pasta. Sprinkle with parmesan and basil.
