Stuffed Steak Roll

Stuffed Steak Roll
1 1/2 pounds round steak
1/2 pound sliced ham from the deli
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed beef broth
1/2 cup red wine
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Remove bone and excess fat from round steak. Pound steak on both sides to tenderize meat. Arrange ham slices evenly over steak.
Blend cream cheese and garlic in bowl and spread over ham slices. Gently roll the steak tightly. Secure meat by wrapping with string and place in 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
In a bowl, combine broth and wine; pour over steak roll. Bake for 30 minutes basting occasionally.
Serves six.
