Faith Lutheran Church and School to Install New Principal

Faith Lutheran School in Antioch has called Mr. Craig Breitkreutz to serve as its new school principal beginning July 1, 2018.

Mr. Breitkreutz graduated from Nebraska Lutheran High School in 1993. He then started his studies at Martin Luther College to be a pastor. Deciding this course of studies was not for him, he took a year off in California with his parents before returning to MLC to study to be a teacher. He graduated in December of 2004.

In 2004, he received his first permanent Call to serve as a World Missionary for the WELS to the Apache Nation as a teacher at Peridot Lutheran School in Peridot, Arizona. He served as a teacher, athletic director, and eventually principal for nine years at the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Bylas, Arizona. Mr. Breitkreutz then received and accepted a Call to serve as principal at St. John's in Baraboo, Wisconsin in 2014. Mr. Breitkreutz is currently enrolled in the master's program at MLC and will graduate in the spring of 2020 with his Master of Science in Education: Leadership Emphasis degree.

A welcome reception for Mr. Breitkreutz will take place at Faith Lutheran Church (24300 W Grass Lake Rd, Antioch, IL 60002) on Sunday July 29th at 9:00 am. The community is invited to attend Mr. Breitkreutz's installation service at 10:45 a.m. on July 29th.

Faith Lutheran School offers a complete educational experience with an Early Childhood center for 3 and 4-year olds as well as a fully accredited elementary school for grades K-8.
