Manny Mill to speak at Elgin Vineyard April 22

Manny Mill, who became a believer in Christ after running from the FBI in 1986, will be the speaker Sunday, April 22, at Vineyard Church of Elgin, 220 Division St.

With an infectious enthusiasm for the word of God, the Cuban-born evangelist will speak on "Radical Prayer," based on his 2015 book of the same name. He will give the message at both services beginning at 9 and 11 a.m.

Mill is the executive director of Koinonia House National Ministries, a post-prison ministry equipping churches to support those who are intent on following Christ but need help after their release.

Three decades ago, he spent two years in federal prison and then received one of the first Charles W. Colson Scholarships awarded to ex-prisoners to attend Wheaton College. He earned a bachelor's degree in biblical studies and a master's degree in theological studies.

Mill is a sought-after speaker, both locally and nationally, and has appeared on the "700 Club" television program and "Focus on the Family" radio program. His story has been dramatized on "Unshackled," the radio ministry of Pacific Garden Mission, and aired on 1,500 stations in 147 countries.

Everyone is welcome to hear him speak April 22. Coffee will be available downstairs. For information, call the church office at (847) 697-8001, visit www.elginvineyard.com or view the church Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ElginVineyard.
