Clout Godz, aka CGE, puts out new video, 'Said and Done' on YouTube

It was about one year ago when we first heard about this young energetic group from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago called Clout Godz, aka CGE.

They stormed onto the scene in 2016 with a popular dance song called "The Sway" on YouTube.

It quickly became a very popular record among teens and young adults, and the video reached over 80,000 views (and counting) on YouTube organically. This moderate success quickly caught the attention of music industry professionals as well as promoters and many more in the entertainment industry. The group was able to meet some of their favorite artist and producers, visit some of the best studios and perform on some of the biggest stages. What a journey it has been in a short time for this group of young men, and it's just the beginning.

During the latter parts of 2016, progress was stalled temporarily due to a change in the group's personnel. They went from three members, back down to the original two. This may have proved to be a blessing in disguise, as the buzz is back and even stronger this time around. "The chemistry is amazing and their confidence is sky high" says the groups spokesperson. "They clearly have something special and with hard work, focus, and dedication, they will go a long way."

It's no secret that CGE/Clout Godz is the most recognized teen group in Chicago's Northwest Suburbs. They have hundreds of solid supporters and also some doubters, however, this is to be expected as the groups popularity grows.

After speaking with CGE, it's clear that their focus is far beyond the streets of Elgin, or even Chicago for that matter. They have their own record label, recording studio, their own clothing line, as well as their own custom apparel company. "We have our eyes on the big picture" says Young Rob (half of Clout Godz). "We are young business men, not just artists," he continues. The group will be traveling to Los Angeles, Atlanta, as well as Las Vegas in the coming months to promote and explore some possible opportunities.

Clout Godz recently completed their first mixtape titled "Trending Topic," set for a late May or early June release.

"We have enough material to drop two or three tapes, but we are trying to be strategic" says Marco (Irregular Kid). "Our goal is to have four or five videos to release with our mixtape, so that people can become familiar with our faces and our brand."

One of the most impressive things about the groups music, is the fact that they've manage to veer away from gun violence, drugs, and being overly disrespectful. Even though there's some profanity, it's nothing to be alarmed about.

"Most of our songs come from experiences or dreams, unless we just want to turn up that day" says HypeGod, an artist on the CGE label.

The group recently released a new video to a song called "Said and Done" off the upcoming "Trending Topic" mixtape on YouTube (6000+ views in the first few days). A song that speaks success into existence and lets the "haters" know that they're being ignored.

We will continue to track this group as they follow their dreams. If you would like to see what's going on with Clout Godz or hear their music, you can do so at www.facebook.com/cgecloutgodz/, www.instagram.com/cgecloutgod, or twitter.com/cgecloutgodz.
