Lakeside Legacy Arts welcomes John Samorian Quartet Jan. 25

On Saturday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m., the John Samorian Quartet will be performing in ‘the Listening Room' at the Lakeside Legacy Arts Park in Crystal Lake. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

“We are bringing Broadway to Crystal Lake,” exclaimed Siobhan Cottone, Lakeside's Executive Director. “Samorian and Shriver are known for their work with the Book of Mormon, Jersey Boys and the revival of A Chorus Line. Plus Samorian has performed with “Blood Sweat and Tears. This concert will not disappoint,” said Cottone.

John Samorian is a consummate composer and lyricist. His witty lyrics and catchy melodies presented on the album “Out on a Limb”, garnered him the #10 slot on the American Jazz Top 40 Chart for 3 weeks, cementing John as a celebrated composer and pianist. His vocal stylings, along with vocalist Kim Shriver's undeniable abilities, catapulted “Out on a Limb” into the national spotlight.

John has performed with such notable groups as Blood Sweat and Tears as well as his own groups throughout Europe, Asia, and in every state of the Union (except Alaska and Idaho). John and his family toured for two years with the National tour of Jersey Boys where he was the Conductor. He also Conducted the Chicago run of The Book of Mormon. John is married to the singer/actress Kim Shriver. Kim is a professional actor, singer, and dancer who has performed in shows throughout the US, Canada, Japan and Europe. In 2007 she appeared as Sheila in the revival of A Chorus Line on Broadway.

If online sales have not sold out, tickets can also be purchased at the door for $20.

Lakeside encourages people to purchase tickets in advance. If you purchase tickets at the door on Jan. 25, however, please arrive by 7:30 p.m.
