Poised For Success raises funds to suit up women for workplace

On November 19, 2013, Poised For Success hosted it 7th annual fundraiser event at The Diplomat West in Elmhurst. More than 380 attendees helped to raise more than $25,000. Premier sponsors of the event were McGraw Hill Higher Education and the Boler Company. Other donors included Leaders Bank, McDonald's, Clover's Garden Center, Walmart and Tyson.

Poised For Success® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that offers personalized services to help low income women through a social service referral program. The organization provides, at no charge, interview and business appropriate clothing to women in the job market. Volunteers also assist clients in building self-esteem and interview skills, as well as referrals to other local service organizations providing job-skills training and job placement.

The money raised at the annual dinner will enable Poised For Success to better serve more women. Poised For Success is the only non-profit organization in the Western suburbs offering its unique and professional services to women in need.
