Carmel comeback sinks Lakes

Carmel d. Lakes:

Carmel rebounded from early unforced errors and a loss in the first game to win a nonconference match over Lakes, 20-25, 25-15, 25-18. The Corsairs got 11 kills and 3 blocks out of Grace Schofield and 9 kills and 2 blocks out of Elizabeth Rengers. Setter Alyssa Armada had 30 assists while Shauna Meagher finished with 17 digs. For Lakes, Megan Behrendt had 7 kills and 17 digs while Maddie Demo had 17 assists.

Stevenson d. Hersey: Khaila Donaldson had 8 kills, 5 blocks and 8 digs and Alexa Bykowski had 22 assists to lead Stevenson to a 25-19, 25-20 victory over Hersey. The Patriots are now 7-4 on the season.

Mundelein d. Conant: Yasmeen Johnson rolled up 10 kills and 2 blocks to lead Mundelein to a 25-22, 25-20 sweep of Conant. Sarah Bregenzer added 8 kills and Madi Wilcox had 20 assists for the Mustangs, who move to 5-7.

Wauconda d. Zion-Benton: Wauconda came back from a first-game loss to defeat Zion-Benton, 25-27, 25-15, 25-16. Susan Karhoff led the way for the Bulldogs with 10 kills while Sara Sexton added 8 kills. Karhoff and Ashley Anderson each had 15 digs while LeAnne Sakowicz had 14 assists. Wauconda is now 7-4 on the season.
