While photographing Swedish Days this year in Geneva, a thunderous storm rolled through and everything was shut down. As I sat in my truck filing a few storm pictures, I saw these two young ladies racing down the sidewalk. It was evident that even though they were getting soaked, they were having fun. The photo was published in the weekly Perspective column.

While driving in Naperville recently, I noticed a brilliant sunset, but found most of it was obscured by trees. I drove a little west of town, and found a spot where the stark outlines of an industrial area worked well against the colorful sky. The photo was published in the weekly Perspective column.
