COD College Theater Presents ‘Spoon River Anthology’ Feb. 28 to March 10

College of DuPage College Theater presents “Spoon River Anthology,” an adaptation of the poems of Edgar Lee Masters, Thursday, Feb. 28, to Sunday, March 10, in the Building K Theater on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Performances are 8 p.m. Thursdays to Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.

Directed by Theater Professor Connie Canaday Howard and adapted by Michael Moon, “Spoon River Anthology” is a collection of poems from Edgar Lee Masters’ seminal 1915 book of poetry. Shared from the perspective of its deceased residents, each vignette vividly depicts life in the fictional small Midwestern town of Spoon River. Portraying both the humor and seriousness of life these residents secrets have gone with them to the grave.

A pre-show discussion is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28. A post-show discussion is scheduled for Friday, March 8.

Tickets are $8 for the Thursday, April 12, preview performance. Regular performance tickets are $10 for adults and $9 for seniors, College of DuPage students and youth.
