Dial-a-Ride service expanded

text size: AAA
By Daily Herald report

The Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee's Northwest Demonstration Project began in January 2010 to provide curb-to-curb dial-a-ride transportation service in the northwest townships of Lake County: Antioch, Avon, Grant and Lake Villa. Recently, services have been expanded to the townships of Fremont and Wauconda.

The demonstration project is available to seniors 65 and older, people with disabilities and the general public. Wauconda and Fremont Township residents can reserve transportation trips to three destinations: College of Lake County, Gurnee Mills Area and the Greenleaf Medical Offices from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. More drop-off locations will be added in January.
