Alexis Salgado scored, and Daniel Garibay did likewise with an assist from Nelson Herrera to lift Maine West to a 2-0 victory over Maine South in Central Suburban crossover play.

Jecsan Torres made 5 saves to earn the shutout for Maine West.

Conant 1, Hoffman Estates 0: The host Cougars made a second-half goal hold up in MSL action.

Leyden 1, Willowbrook 0: Juan Recendez scored in the first half as the visiting Eagles earned a West Suburban Gold victory.

Fremd 4, Rolling Meadows 1: Senior midfielder Jon Magnusson scored twice, and Zach Schoffstall and Jeremy Kosacz aso found the back of the net to lift host Vikings.

Hersey 2, Elk Grove 2 (2 OT): The visiting Huskies scored twice in the first half before Elk Grove, which got goals from John Arzeta and David Bahena to equalize. Goalkeepers Daniel Alvarez (Elk Grove) and Irving Velasquez (Hersey) finished with 10 saves apiece.

MSL West race: Palatine defeated Buffalo Grove 3-1 on Tuesday and Barrington topped Prospect to set up a Thursday meeting between the Pirates and Broncos which will decide the MSL West representive in the MSL Cup. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
