Wheaton's Gary UMC to present 'Lessons & Carols' on Dec. 10

Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will host a worship service like no other on Sunday, Dec. 10 .

"Lessons & Carols: Come and See | Go and Tell" will tell the story of the birth of Jesus Christ through music and scripture at 9 and 11 a.m. Children and adult choirs will sing, children and adult handbell groups will ring, and readers of all ages will share scripture. Churchgoers will sing hymns, pray and enjoy the music and readings.

The church at 224 N. Main St. offers 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday worship in the sanctuary. The 9 a.m. worship is complete with Kids' Church and nursery care, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org. The 11 a.m. worship has a more casual feel featuring church musicians. At 10 a.m., you can enjoy a coffee hour called "Special Blend" and Sunday School for all ages.

On Thursday, Dec. 21, the "On Longest Night Service" will be held at 7 p.m.

The Fourth Sunday of Advent worship will be at 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24.

On Christmas Eve, family worship will be at 4 p.m., with traditional worship at 7 p.m. and worship with communion at 9 p.m.

On Sunday, Dec. 31, worship will be 9 a.m. only.
