Hear sermon series on parables at Gary UMC in Wheaton

For the next two Sundays at Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton, you can learn more about the parables, stories Jesus told to share a lesson.

On Sunday, July 23, the Rev. Chris Pierson will preach about the parable of the weed and the wheat at 9 a.m.

He will give a sermon about the parable of the mustard seed on Sunday, July 30 at 9 a.m.

The church at 224 N. Main St. offers 9 a.m. summer Sunday worship in the sanctuary. The 9 a.m. service is complete with Kids' Church and nursery care, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org. At 10 a.m., you can enjoy a coffee hour called "Special Blend."

A newly-imagined 11 a.m. service will begin on Sunday, Aug. 27.
