On Jan. 1 every year, the founder of Methodism, John Wesley, held a Covenant Renewal Service. Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will turn back time and worship like people did in the 1700s with this renewed focus on faith to start 2023. Families will worship together at the 11 a.m. service in person and livestreamed at

Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main Street, Wheaton, offers 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday worship services in the sanctuary, starting again Jan. 8. The 9 a.m. service is complete with Kids' Church and nursery care, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at The 11 a.m. Service of Word & Sacrament is an intimate and informal service. At 10 a.m., you can enjoy a coffee hour called "Special Blend" and Sunday School for all ages.
