Wheaton's Gary UMC invites families to an interactive Christmas Eve worship

Children will participate in sharing the story of the birth of Jesus at the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve family worship service at Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton. When kids arrive, they can choose between Mary, Joseph, wise men, angels, shepherds, sheep, donkeys and cows. You'll hear from children's vocal choirs, along with a children's bell ensemble. Children will also read scripture.

Gary United Methodist Church offers two traditional Christmas Eve services at 7 and 9 p.m.

Celebrate through scripture, sermon, prayer and music at the 7 p.m. traditional Christmas Eve worship service. And, enjoy a traditional worship service with communion at 9 p.m.

All services on Christmas Eve will be in person and livestreamed at garychurch.org.

On Christmas Day and New Year's Day, the church welcomes you to an intimate and informal 11 a.m. Sunday worship.

The church offers 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday worship in the sanctuary. The 9 a.m. service is complete with Kids' Church and nursery care, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org. The 11 a.m. Service of Word & Sacrament is an intimate and informal service. At 10 a.m., you can enjoy a coffee hour called "Special Blend" and Sunday school for all ages.
