Holiday book, art sale starts Nov. 10 at Wheaton Public Library

The Friends of the Wheaton Public Library are busy pricing items for their popular Holiday Book and Art Sale.

The sale features like-new gift books for children and adults, collectible treasures, autographed copies, Christmas items, silent auctions and art.

All sale items have been donated to the Friends are individually priced.

Silent auction items this year include a collection of Star Wars books, a complete set of "The Churchill Documents" by Martin Gilbert and a 1901 Warwick edition of Shakespeare's works.

The sale opens on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and continues from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13.

All proceeds benefit the library.

Friends of Wheaton Public Library was started in 2003 to support the library and its mission. Membership dues, along with money raised from the annual sales and Book Nook purchases, directly benefit the library, including: Story House Marsh, Sunday concerts, summer reading incentives, and adult and children's programs.
