Wheaton's Gary UMC to add new 11 a.m. service

Starting Sunday, Sept. 11, Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will offer the Service of Word & Sacrament at 11 a.m.

In this new service, you will hear the word of God through scripture, prayer, a sermon and hymns.

Each Sunday, you'll experience either the sacrament of communion or baptism. All are welcome to this informal and intimate weekly service held in person in the sanctuary.

The church will continue offering a 9 a.m. service in person in the sanctuary, complete with Kids' Church and child care, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org.

Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main Street, Wheaton, also offers a coffee hour called "Special Blend" at 10 a.m. Sundays.

On Sept. 11, Sunday school for all ages will begin again at 10 a.m. for the school year.
