Gary Church in Wheaton to hold blood drive July 20

One in seven people entering the hospital will need blood. You can help save lives by donating blood.

Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton is holding a blood drive on Wednesday, July 20, from 2 to 6 p.m.

Versiti will administer the blood drive, one of the Midwest's major blood centers. For each unit of blood given, up to three lives can be saved. Sign up to give blood at garychurch.org. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids and eat a healthy meal before giving blood.

The church at 224 N. Main St. offers a 9 a.m. Sunday worship service in the sanctuary, complete with Kids' Church, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org. After the worship service, you can enjoy a coffee hour called "Special Blend." Sunday school for all ages starts again Sept. 11. Gary Church has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions.
