Wheaton's Gary Church volunteers for Habitat for Humanity

This week, Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton has sent a team of Habitat for Humanity volunteers to Lafayette, Indiana, to renovate a home for a single mom and her two young daughters.

The volunteers are painting, building a deck, installing flooring and doing repair work. The church has been actively involved with Habitat for Humanity for decades.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home.

Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton, offers a 9 a.m. Sunday worship service in the sanctuary, complete with Kids' Church and nursery care, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org.

After the worship, you can enjoy Sunday school for all ages, plus a coffee hour called "Special Blend."
