BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha donates $5,000 to Wayne Township Food Pantry

Anil Barot and Hitash Patel from BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha in Bartlett presented a $5,000 check to Wayne Township Food Pantry director Juanita Martinez and Wayne Township Supervisor Randy Ramey on Monday, Jan. 31.

"It is extremely important that we give back to the community and support the food pantry that provides our members and neighbors access to nutritious food during these hard economic times," Anil Barot said.

Supervisor Ramey credits BAPS for their continued support in helping strengthen our community.

Director Martinez says the BAPS members also donate food on a regular basis to the food pantry.

The food pantry is currently operating on a no-contact, drive-through food distribution model to anyone in need of food, every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon, and for seniors only from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

In addition to the food pantry, Wayne Township also offers financial assistance, counseling, senior programs, license plate renewals, and many other services.
