Experience 'The Art of Advent' at Wheaton church Dec. 12

On Sunday, Dec. 12, Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will host a special service at 9 a.m.

"All the Good: The Art of Advent" is an immersive experience of art, music and scripture that helps prepare for the birth of Jesus. By the end of the worship service, you'll see a painting come to life. This service will be in the church's sanctuary, plus livestreamed and recorded at garychurch.org.

Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton is also offering an Advent study at 9:50 a.m. Sundays through Dec. 19.

The study will focus on the book, "All the Good: A Wesleyan Way of Christmas." In this class, you will look at preparing the way for God, the impact and significance of prayer, the substance of good works and caring for others, and sharing God's mission to the world.

The church at 224 N. Main St. offers a 9 a.m. Sunday worship service in the sanctuary, complete with Kids' Church, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org. After the service, you can enjoy Sunday school for all ages, plus a coffee hour called "Special Blend."
