Wheaton church offers kids COVID-19 vaccine clinics

Children ages 5 or older can receive their initial dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesdays, Nov. 17 and Dec. 8. It is also open to those eligible for a booster shot. The vaccine clinics will be 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton.

The DuPage County Health Department will administer the vaccines. Register at garychurch.org/registrations.

They will have Pfizer's first and second pediatric doses for ages 5-11, first and second doses for ages 12 or older, as well as the booster shot.

The single dose Johnson & Johnson shot will also be available for those ages 12 or older.

Those receiving the booster will need their vaccine card.

Minors will need to have a parent/guardian present for consent.

Gary United Methodist Church offers a 9 a.m. Sunday service in the sanctuary, complete with Kids' Church, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org. After the service, you can enjoy Sunday school for all ages, plus a coffee hour called "Special Blend."
