Registration open for West Chicago's Virtual Frosty 5K

As the brisk weather sets in, West Chicago gears up for another festive winter season. This year, the fun goes virtual with various activities in the planning stages.

Registration has now opened for the Virtual Frosty 5K, which could be run or walked anytime between Dec. 4-13.

Those who register ($10 fee) will keep the tradition alive during this challenging year proving that community spirit and pride cannot be deterred. Registration includes a long sleeve shirt and swag bag.

To guarantee requested shirt size, those wishing to participate should register by Sunday, Nov. 15, at raceroster.com/events/2020/35577/frosty-5k-virtual-runwalk

"Like the Move with the Mayor Virtual 5K earlier this fall, the Virtual Frosty 5K is a workaround event that provides community-building and encourages healthy activity even during a pandemic. We can still have fun and be safe as a community," said Special Event Coordinator Nicolette Stefan.
