Lavelle Law Attorneys Host Free Virtual Bankruptcy Seminars for Businesses and Individuals

The Bankruptcy and Business Law attorneys at Lavelle Law are hosting two virtual informational seminars on bankruptcy-one for businesses and another for individuals. These free seminars are part of the Schaumburg-based law firm's bi-monthly Breakfast Briefs series, which covers a variety of business and personal legal topics.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many individuals and businesses are faced with a loss of income and are hearing from creditors. During the bankruptcy seminars, the attorneys at Lavelle Law will discuss the basics of filing a bankruptcy petition, the benefits and drawbacks, and other strategic uses. They will also discuss strategies to avoid filing for bankruptcy and settle with creditors in order to salvage credit.

The panel will include Bankruptcy and Business Law attorneys Ted McGinn, Tim Hughes, Steve Migala and Joshua Nesser.

"Bankruptcy gives people a fresh start and it can buy businesses time to regain their footing," said Managing Partner Ted McGinn. "But it's not the only option. These seminars will provide participants with information about their options and factors to take into consideration."

"Bankruptcy Protection for Individuals and How to Avoid it" will take place on June 3 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and "Bankruptcy Protection for Businesses and How to Avoid It" will take place the following week on June 10 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Registration is required.
