Seven Dwarfs Family Restaurant is giving back to the community
Seven Dwarfs is a diner-style eatery that has been serving the Wheaton/Glen Ellyn communities since the 1950s. Our family has enjoyed Sunday breakfast there for over four decades.
As my mother has gotten older, they have become her second family every Sunday, and sometimes during the week. If she doesn't come in for two Sundays in a row they will call to check on her. Years ago when she was in the hospital, they called me to she what happened and why wasn't she answering her phone. My heart was filled with the love and care that was being shown for my mom. She cannot be the only one they has been looking out for.
A high school friend sent me the below message she received from the restaurant. In this devastating time, when so many restaurants and small businesses are being hit hard and closing, Seven Dwarfs is still there trying to support and take care of their community.
Once again, I am overwhelmed by the generosity, care and support this longstanding, family owned restaurant is providing to others.
From Sam Sadiku, owner of the Seven Dwarfs:
Dear friends
As the pandemic continues we must remind each other to follow guidelines:
Stay home, wash your hands, practice social distancing, and be kind to one another.
In difficult times, we must also reach out to assist the less fortunate.
If you or anyone you know is struggling and in need of a meal, please contact Sam Sadiku (the owner).
Seven Dwarfs will provide meals to those affected by job loss, illness, disability, and the elderly.
If you lack transportation, please contact Sam Sadiku (630) 653-7888 and he will personally deliver your meal.
STAY POSITIVE!
We will get through this.
Sam.
