Annual Hamfest returns Jan. 19 in St. Charles

The 2020 Wheaton Community Radio Amateurs Hamfest will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, in the Expo Center at the Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. Randall Road in St. Charles.

Come enjoy the 53rd annual observance of this great event in warm, well-lit, open, indoor spaces. There is plenty of free parking right next to the building along with handicap access.

It will feature ham radio, computer, radio control, and hobby electronics vendors. There will be educational forums, amateur radio exams from 8 to 11:30 a.m., food vendors, and a general admission raffle.

Adult admission is $8 in advance, and includes four raffle tickets.

Admission is $10 at the door, which includes one raffle ticket.

All Scouts under 18 years old and in official Scout uniforms are admitted for free. Children age 12 and under, accompanied by a paying adult, are admitted for free.

Advanced tickets can be purchase online. All tickets purchased online will be held for pick up at will-call. Visit w9ccu.org/Hamfest.html.
