BBQ'd Productions tucks $150,000 in prizes into red envelopes for dine-in customers
THIRD LAKE - Those who already are fans of the award-winning fare at Kris Schoenberger's BBQ'd Productions restaurants probably don't need a lot of additional motivation to stop by for a bite.
Nonetheless, now through the end of the year, that's just what they - and newcomers - will find. That's because the recently crowned Culinary Fight Fest champ has launched the fifth year of his red envelope customer appreciation campaign. And with $150,000 in potential prizes out there just waiting to be won, it's his most audacious to date.
Each paying customer visiting BBQ'd Productions in Third Lake or in Lake Zurich between now and Dec. 31 will receive a "no-peek" red envelope each time he or she dines in. And that envelope could be worth anything from a free dessert to one of two all-inclusive, four-day, three-night trips for two to Cancun. Other prizes include smokers, game consoles, iPads, $500 or $1,000 in cash, a grill or even one of two 2019 Kawasaki motorcycles from Nielsen Enterprises.
"My regular customers are always excited about the red-envelope campaign," Schoenberger said. "This year we added a bunch of great prizes, including the Mexico trips. I'm hoping we'll entice a few new people to try our amazing food and hospitality."
The restaurants have a total of 6,500 envelopes to distribute. They will be given to diners through Dec. 31, or until they're gone, whichever comes first. To be eligible for a prize, recipients must not open the envelopes until a return dine-in visit between Jan. 1 and Feb. 29, 2020.
"This is our way of giving back to our customers, because they support us throughout the year," Schoenberger said. "And it's just a lot of fun."
BBQ'd Productions restaurants are located at 34121 Route 45 in Third Lake and 405 N. Rand Road in Lake Zurich. The restaurants feature mouthwatering smoked and grilled pork, beef, fish and ham dishes as well as salads, craft cocktails and more.
