Vote for Student Excellence Foundation in Cantigny's Community Tree Event

The Student Excellence Foundation is honored to be one of seven local nonprofit organizations invited this year to share their message by decorating and displaying a tree in Cantigny's annual Community Trees event.

Trees are on display in the McCormick House at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, and visitors may cast votes for their favorite group's tree from through Dec. 29 (closed Mondays).

Wheaton-Warrenville Unit District 200 students win when you cast your vote for the Student Excellence Foundation's tree! Each organization participating in Community Trees is awarded $2,500 from the McCormick Foundation, and visitors then cast votes for their favorite group's tree. At the end of the season, the organization whose tree receives the most votes gets another $2,500 donation from the McCormick Foundation!

Student Excellence Foundation funds directly benefit students and educators in District 200, which serves students in Wheaton, Warrenville, and portions of Carol Stream, Winfield, West Chicago, Glen Ellyn, and Naperville.

The Student Excellence Foundation is a non-profit organization, founded in 1992 to serve the more than 1,000 educators and 13,000 students (early childhood through a transition program that extends beyond grade 12) of Wheaton-Warrenville Unit District 200.

The foundation enriches education, providing programs like Student Excellence Grants, Distinguished Educator Awards, STEM Expo, and Fund-A-Classroom. Their biggest fundraiser, "Swing Fore Student Excellence," will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at Top Golf in Naperville.
