Advocate Children's Hospital patient treated to special day at Wrigley Field

Advocate Children's Hospital patient Ava Castaldo of Pingree Grove got to experience a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field in a special way on Sunday, June 9.

Ava, who has been treated for asthma at Advocate Children's Hospital, served as an honorary bat kid for the day.

As part of her experience, Ava and her family got to hang out in the dugout before the game against the St. Louis Cardinals, meet a few a few of the players, collect autographs, and snap photos on the field before the first pitch. Ava was excited to spend the day at Wrigley Field where her favorite Cubs players, Javier Baez and Kris Bryant, play.

Advocate Children's Hospital is part of Advocate Health Care, which is the official health care partner of the Chicago Cubs.

As part of Advocate's legacy partnership with the Cubs, both organizations have a commitment to promoting health and wellness to children throughout the community in a fun and meaningful way.
