Bloomingdale Township Food Pantry open to those affected by government shutdown

Bloomingdale Township Supervisor Michael D. Hovde Jr. has announced that the Bloomingdale Township Food Pantry will be open to all Bloomingdale Township residents who have had their income affected by the government shutdown.

Supervisor Hovde stated, "Those residents who are in need of assistance can come to the Township for food, including canned goods, shelf stable items, breads, fresh and frozen food, as well as toiletries and paper products. We will continue to assist our residents during this difficult time."

Bloomingdale Township hosts a food pantry at 123 Rosedale Ave., located to the east behind the township offices.

Also, the Bloomingdale Township General and Emergency Assistance offices are at the same location. Both are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call (630) 529-9993 for more information.
