B.R. Ryall YMCA board of directors names new CEO

After an extensive search, the B.R. Ryall YMCA of Northwestern DuPage County Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Rob Wilkinson as the new chief executive officer, effective Jan. 2, 2019.

Wilkinson comes to B.R. Ryall YMCA from YMCA of the USA.

As resource director, he served 22 YMCAs in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Wilkinson has more than 30 years of experience in the YMCA movement, having held roles as CEO for the Kishwaukee Family YMCA (Sycamore, Illinois), Aurora Family YMCA (Aurora, Illinois) and Mattoon Family YMCA (Mattoon, Illinois). He also served as the Executive Director for the Central Florida YMCA (Orlando, Florida). Wilkinson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in recreation administration from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.

"With his extensive leadership experience and track record of success, we are confident Rob will do a wonderful job in continuing to move our Y's mission forward."

Not only does Wilkinson focus his work in the nonprofit industry, he has been an active volunteer leader in the communities in which he has worked and lived. He has served on several board of directors for various civic, social and business organizations including the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, United Way and Rotary.

Rob and his wife Brenda have two sons - Lucas, a sophomore at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, and Zach, a sophomore in high school.

"I am extremely excited for the opportunity to serve as the B.R. Ryall YMCA's CEO," said Wilkinson. "This Y has such a long and impactful history of strengthening the community. I look forward to working with the board of directors and staff to provide the highest quality programs and resources for the children, individuals and families served by the Y."
