Hampshire church donates 35 buckets to Church World Services

On Sunday, Sept. 16, St. John's United Church of Christ-Harmony dedicated 35 Church World Services cleanup buckets.

Over the last several months, individuals and family have purchased supplies to help fill the buckets. With all the flooding and damages happening at this time in North and South Carolina, it was a celebration to see these buckets ready to go and serve those in need.

On Sunday, Sept. 30, members of St. John's UCC will be participating in the Church World Services CROP Walk in Hampshire.

This walk helps raise funds for project around the world and in our own communities.

A quarter of the funds raised during this walk will be given to the Burlington-Hampshire Food Pantry.

Worship services and church school are held every Sunday at 9 a.m. come join us as we celebrate the joy of fellowship and service.

The church is located at 11821 E. Grant Hwy. (Route 20), just north of the I-90 Marengo Hampshire exit. For more information, call the church office at (815) 923-4263 or visit stjohnsuccharmony.org or www.facebook.com/Stjohnsuccharmony/.
