Daily Herald photographers were out in the snow to capture the last week of October in the suburbs of Chicago last week.

Lauren Hall keeps an eye on the audience as she prepares to enter the stage Friday. Fremont Middle School 2008 graduate Lauren Hall visited and performed at the Mundelein school Friday. Hall auditioned for the hit NBC television show The Voice seven times and finally made it through to the Blind Audition round. The Voice judge Kelly Clarkson quickly gave Hall a chair turn, selecting Hall to join her team.
