Speaker to address the pope's views on ecology

McHenry County College's Sustainability Center will host the Rev. Brian J. Sauder, president of Faith in Place, for a reflection of the Pope's encyclical "Laudato Si: On Care for Our Common Home" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, in the Luecht Conference Center at the college, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

The publication, "Laudato Si: On Care for Our Common Home," was released by Pope Francis one year ago. Hear how all people of many faiths are continuing to rise together on behalf of our common land, water, air and life. Local faith-based organizations will be available for questions and discussion following the Rev. Sauder's presentation.

"Ecological justice begins and continues with each of us," Sauder says.
