Little Angels rev up for its 29th pledge run

Elgin, IL - With the sights and sounds of spring in the air, many begin tuning up their motorcycles in preparation for riding season.

With bikes on the road, it is once again time for the annual Little Angels Pledge Run. Now in its 29th year, the Pledge Run continues to make a real difference in the lives of the children and young adults with severe disabilities who live at Little Angels Center for Exceptional Care in Elgin.

This event raises necessary funds to fill the funding gap that results from less than adequate state funding.

The 2016 Little Angels Pledge Run will be held Sunday, May 15, in Woodstock.

Riders will enjoy an 80-mile ride through the Northern Illinois countryside, and end the day with a party at Woodstock Harley-Davidson including food, beer, vendors, prizes, raffles, and live music from Patio Daddy-O.

Our famous raffle, already sold-out, features a chance to win a grand prize of either a 2016 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail or $10,000 in cash.

New this year will be three additional prizes including a 90-day summer motorcycle rental package from Woodstock Harley-Davidson, an Harley-Davidson Rec Room bundle, and $1,000 cash.

The 2016 Pledge Run is sponsored by the Elgin Area Organization of Motorcycle Riders in partnership with Woodstock Harley-Davidson. Additional sponsors include McHenry Harley-Davidson, McHenry County Road Pirates, The Schaumburg Hoffman Lions Club, Woodstock Public House, Cobra Concrete Cutting Services and Laborers Local One.

Pablo's Restaurant in Crystal Lake is offering a breakfast special the day of the Run, with proceeds going to Little Angels.

Gates open at 9 a.m. on the day of the ride. The first bike leaves at 10:30 a.m. The party begins at 12:30 p.m.

All makes and models of bikes are welcome.
