Dundee-Crown still unbeaten: The Chargers were denied a chance to play for the Indian Cup championship at Hononegah Saturday but they did come away from the tournament still unbeaten. After beating Champaign Centennial 1-0, D-C tied host Hononegah, 0-0, but the Indians advanced to the title game based on goal differential in the tournament. William Campos scored the Chargers’ goal off an assist from Salvador Rodriguez in the win over Champaign and Jose Gonzalez made 4 saves in goal. He then stopped 5 shots against Hononegah but D-C (11-0-1) couldn’t find the back of the net either.

CL South falls twice: At the Hononegah tournament, the Gators (5-6-3) fell to Springfield 4-0 and to Rockford Guilford 4-2. Ryan Russmann scored both goals in the loss to Guilford. Gus Alvarez made 7 saves and Dalton Kause had 2 in the two games.

Jacobs splits: The Golden Eagles lost to host Hononegah 3-1 and beat Champaign Centennial 2-1 in the Indian Cup Tournament at Hononegah. Jake Blankenship and Konrad Wasliewski scored in the win over Champaign. Nick Voss had Jacobs’ goal in its loss to Hononegah.

Larkin 1, Chicago Kelly 0: Josh Garcia scored the game’s only goal in the second half as the Royals (5-2-3) won in the Pepsi Showdown. Leo Perez had 5 saves for Larkin.

Streamwood 7, Loyola 0: Nestor Ascencio had a goal and 3 assists and Jasminko Dizdarevic scored a hat trick to lead the Sabres to a Pepsi Showdown win. Alex Moreno, Blerim Shabani, Donnie Sosa and Brandon Malpartida each scored once for Streamwood (8-2). Sergio Blanco made 3 saves in goal for the Sabres.

Northridge Prep 1, Westminster Christian 0: Alex Wojcic had 6 saves in goal for the Warriors (5-5) in this nonconference loss.
