South Elgin 8, Elk Grove 3: Ryan Nutof was 2-for-3 and Joe Crivolio picked up the win on the mound as the Storm (16-14) scored 5 runs in the top of the eighth inning to win this nonconference game.

Huntley 5, Glenbard West 1: Josh Perkins threw a 6-inning no-hitter with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk to lead the Red Raiders (24-5) in nonconference action. Colin Lyman (2-for-4, 2B), Tommy Kiriakopoulos (2B) and Mark Skonieczny (2-for-2, 2 RBI) led Huntley.

CL Central 9, Burlington Central 1: Josh Lung had an RBI for the Rockets (14-11) in this nonconference loss. Robby Frederickson took the loss.

CL South 11, Wheeling 1: Max Meitzler (3-for-3, 2B, RBI), Tony Bittenbender (2-for-3, 2 RBI) and winning pitcher Tyler Hall (2-for-3, 2B, RBI) led the Gators to this nonconference win.

CL South 7, Streamwood 0: Troy Bittenbender was 2-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBI and Jake Bigos went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for the Gators (20-6) in this nonconference victory. Ryan Hetherington added a double for Crystal Lake South and Eric Schiller was the winning pitcher. Chad Caminitti had a double for Streamwood and Collin Tatone took the loss.

Streamwood 13, Wheeling 0: Jeff Weaver was 2-for-5 with a home run and 5 RBI to lead Streamwood. Troy Caminitti was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for the Sabres (6-24) and Kevin Drwal threw a 3-hitter with 9 strikeouts and 3 walks for the win.

Sycamore 3, Hampshire 2: R.J. Consigny was 3-for-3, Trey Schramm had a triple and an RBI and Tim Jansen a double for Hampshire. Andrew Brown took the loss for the Whip-Purs (13-16).

Wheaton North 7, Bartlett 6: Sam Franco was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, Matt Vitulli had a double and an RBI and Mike Roberson added a double for Bartlett. Ben Havel took the loss for the Hawks (14-14).

Cary-Grove 12, Stevenon 0: Zach Marszal was 3-for-5 with a home run and 4 RBI and Matt Ewert added a double and 2 RBI as the Trojans won in nonconference action. Dean Lee was the winning pitcher.

DeKalb 4, Elgin 1: Jon Zima took the loss for the Maroons (7-22), who had just 3 hits.
