Candidates to speak at Arlington Hts. forum

Candidates for the state Legislature from four Northwest suburban districts will speak at a forum 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Arlington Heights Village Hall, 33 South Arlington Heights Road, 3rd floor. The League of Women Voters is sponsoring the forum; attendees will submit the questions.

Candidates will participate in this order: Democrat Curt Renz and incumbent Republican David Harris, 53rd House district (includes Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Prospect Heights, Wheeling); Democrat Richard Rudd and incumbent Republican Thomas R. “Tom” Morrison, 54th House district (includes Arlington Heights, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Rolling Meadows); Democrat David Page and incumbent Republican Matt Murphy, 27th Senate district (includes Arlington Heights, Barrington, Hoffman Estates, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows); and incumbent Democrat Elaine Nekritz and Republican Jonathan L. Greenberg, 57th House district (includes Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Mount Prospect, Prospect Heights, Wheeling).

The forum will appear live on the village’s cable access channels, WOW channel 6 and Comcast channel 17. Rebroadcasts will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 5 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays at noon. The forums will be available also online at Lorelle Communications’ YouTube page.
