Candidates forum at Glenbard North

On Wednesday, March 11 at 7 p.m. the Glenbard North PTSA will host a candidates forum for the Glenbard High School District 87 board. Glenbard North High School is located at 990 N. Kuhn Rd in Carol Stream. All ballot and write-in candidates have been invited. Each candidate will have a three minute opening statement on: 1. What qualities can you bring to the District 87 school board? and 2. What other challenges do you feel will face the District 87 school board in the next several years? This will be followed by a Q&A from the audience. There is considerably low voter turnout for school board elections. In today's financial times people need to vote more than ever. Our school boards are responsible for the spending of our hard-earned tax dollars. We need to ensure that they are good stewards of our monies. It is our responsibility to know the issues, get the facts and make an educated decision. Exercise your privilege to vote. Have a voice in the education of our young adults and your tax dollars. March 10 is the last day to register to vote for the April 7 election.
