Elgin 11, Streamwood 1: Elgin scored 6 runs in the fourth inning and added five more in the sixth to down Streamwood in the Upstate Eight Conference. Kelly Patchett had a double and Hannah Perryman (6-5) was the winning pitcher for the Maroons (7-13, 3-5). Jen Szabo was the losing pitcher for Streamwood (5-10, 1-6), which committed 10 errors in the game.

South Elgin 6, Waubonsie Valley 0: Samantha Bolin went the distance for the Storm (4-9, 2-5) in the circle as she shutout the Warriors while giving up just 5 hits and striking out 10. Katelyn Stonecipher turned in a 2-for-4 performance at the plate while hitting a home run and 2 RBI while freshman Kara Rodriguez went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple.

Cary-Grove 6, Woodstock 0: The Trojans (13-5) earned a shutout victory over Woodstock as they got on the board in the third inning and never looked back.

Emma Gaulke (1-2) earned the victory while Abbe Wienckowski went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles at the plate to lead the Trojans.

CL Central 10, Huntley 5: Central's Jackie Kisman shut down Huntley's high-powered offense in this Fox Valley Conference crossover. The Red Raiders (11-5) had a five-game winning streak snapped. Huntley had scored 66 runs in its previous 5 games. Jenna Myckno was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI Wednesday, Amanda Wisniewski went 2-for-3 and Nikki DeMarco was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Taylor Larson (9-4) suffered the loss in the circle.

Jacobs 12, Grayslake Central 2: Sara Jacobson was 2-for-4 with a triple and Kelsey Peterson was 2-for-3 with 4 RBI as Jacobs (8-5) rolled to an FVC crossover win. Amber Livingston picked up the win for the Golden Eagles (3-3).

Grayslake North 5, Dundee-Crown 1: Melany Love had a triple for the Chargers (1-11) in this FVC crossover loss. Amanda Eissler was the losing pitcher. Love allowed 2 hits and had 7 strikeouts in relief.
