Northwest suburban sports tryouts and camps

Tryouts and clinics for community sports groups, plus sporting events and tournaments, skate competitions, public appearances by sports stars in the area, autograph signings, sports conventions, etc. Deadline is two weeks before event date.

Play baseball again: The Chicago North MSBL adult men's baseball league is looking for players for the upcoming season. Age divisions include 25, 35, 45, 55 and 60 and over. Games are played in Bensenville, Arlington Heights, Northbrook and at Oakton Community College. For information, visit chicagonorthbaseball.com.

Outdoor Soccer League registration: Registration is being accepted for boys and girls spring soccer at the Mount Prospect Park District. Register through March 7 and save $10. Practice begins at the end of March and the season runs mid-April through mid-June. Seven divisions are offered for grades K-eight. Register in person at RecPlex only. Palatine Panthers registration: The Palatine Amateur Football Association is accepting registration, ages 8-14, starting in February for its 2010 season. Flag Football for boys and girls ages 5-7 is also accepting registration. for information, visit palatinepanthers.com.

Wheeling Youth Basketball: Registration is being accepted for the Wheeling Park District Youth Basketball program. Ten divisions are offered for boys and girls in grades K-10 at an affordable rate.
