Cathie Ryan to perform Oct. 14-15 at Club MAC
Songstress Cathie Ryan brings here award-winning Celtic sound to the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn, in two intimate Club MAC performances Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14 and 15.
Performances are at 8 p.m. in the MAC's Theatre 2.
Ryan fronted the acclaimed group Cherish the Ladies for seven years before embarking on a solo career. She has released four albums to critical acclaim and has been featured on more than 40 compilations of Celtic music.
In 2003, Ryan was included in “A Woman's Heart – A Decade On,” a collection of famous Irish music. Her original songs have been recorded by a number of distinguished Irish vocalists, including Frances Black and Mary Black, and she has performed on national and public television in the U.S. and Europe.
Chicago's “Irish American News” named Ryan Irish Female Vocalist of the Decade in 2001.
Tickets to Cathie Ryan's Club MAC performances are $36 for adults, $34 for seniors and $26 for College of DuPage students and youth. Cabaret table tickets are $40 for adults, $38 for seniors and $30 College of DuPage students and youth.
