'Sound Opinions' guys at Harper College

Greg Kot and Jim DeRogatis, rock critics and hosts of the WBEZ-FM-produced "Sound Opinions" will discuss the music business at noon, April 27 at Harper College in Palatine.

"The music business is in a time of seismic change," says DeRogatis. "Everything is ... up for grabs - which can be frightening, but also liberating; the artist arguably has never had more powerful tools to shape their career."

Airing weekly on Chicago NPR, "Sound Opinions" reviews new releases and covers popular music, from cutting edge underground rock and hip-hop, to classic rock, R&B, electronics, world beat and other genres.

The event is in Room P205, Building P. Free for all Harper students, faculty and staff; $5 for general admission.
